A classic has gone purple. This quickly became a small stream favorite of mine after a fellow guide asked me to tie them up a few. I had always thought the purple was a ploy to catch anglers and not so much fish. Since I have become a believer, purple seems to drive the fish crazy (especially cutthroat)! An excellent searching pattern and a mainstay when going for a subtle dry dropper setup.
